(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Russian Air Force launched several airstrikes over the northern Hama countryside last night, targeting the rebel defenses at a number of villages along the Idlib Governorate border.
The Russian Air Force conducted more than 15 airstrikes above militant positions in northern Hama, hitting targets in the villages of Taybat Al-Imam, Helfaya, Kafr Zita, and Al-Lataminah.
Russian jets were ordered to strike rebel's positions after reports emerged of militants gathering for new assault against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies in the northern Hama countryside.
The Russian airstrikes last night marked the first time in nearly one month that their air force has carried out attacks against the rebels in northern Hama.
